Where it started…

My love for dance began at an early age. I grew up training at Short Dance Studios in New Richmond, Wisconsin. This is where my passion was fueled by teachers who fostered my technique, artistry, and instilled a strong work ethic.

I also had the opportunity to perform with the Twin Cities Ballet in “A Minnesota Nutcracker,” as well as “Aroundabout,” a pre-professional contemporary show with Crash Dance Productions.

where its going…

After high school, I moved to Oklahoma City to attend the Ann Lacy School of American Dance and Entertainment at Oklahoma City University. Here, I am a Dance Performance major and get the opportunity to study many aspects of the entertainment industry, ranging from performing, to management, to choreography and teaching.

I’ve had the opportunity to perform with the Star Dance Company in The Holiday Spectacular, MOVE!, and on various repertoire gigs. In my time at OCU I have also performed in Project 21 and the Student Choreography shows. I have studied dance pedagogy in Tap, Jazz, and Ballet. For the past two years I have worked in the Production Room where I build and restore props, help with load in, and keep inventory.

From all I have learned and continue to learn everyday, I feel prepared to enter the professional world and chase my dreams of performing and teaching.
